[sdw2003] Residential VOIP? Vonage, Skype, etc?

The thing with Skype is having to use their handset. I like the idea of
being able to reuse my own handset. I am also thinking of changing my
Internet Provider (Broadband) from ATT DSL to Cable, probably Cox. Does
this sound like a smart move in preparation for Ooma or another VOIP
Solution?
