I heartily agree.

All of my lab systems have service contracts. If something goes wonky,
or I get some weird error message, I don't want to start swapping
hardware and asking for input from "the community"... I want to pick up
the phone and get someone dispatched who's going to come out and fix
what needs to be fixed so I can get back to what I need to do.

If someone was going to get these particular servers, at $180 a pop I'd
get one or two for spares. But "spares" have a way of becoming
production systems.
