[sdw2003] why warranty older servers? WAS:servers from defunct ISP

Pardon what might be a silly question, but why would you even want to
pay for a warranty on something that's not really close to current?
Buying an extra one or two for $180 and have them as backups seems
like a better "warranty" than anything else you might get/pay for.
