[sdw2003] Internet security zone settings

Is the machine a member of an AD domain that has GPOs being applied? We
have a group policy for some OUs in our domain that sets the security
zones and then it's grayed out for users. I don't know whether someone
could set that up in a local security policy as well if it's not a
domain member.

Subject: [sdw2003] Internet security zone settings
I have a VM that was shipped to me as kind of a "done deal". I can't
use IE even to download Firefox because when it tried to go anywhere, it
wants to add the site to a security zone or something, but then tells me
that I cannot do that. I tried to log on as Administrator, instead of
the replacement admin account they use, but Administrator isn't allowed
to loog in even after I re-enabled the account and changed the password.
I went into the Internet control panel, but the security sliders aren't
there.
I'll grab Firefox via FTP so I can get to work, but how does one resolve
this situation? It's W2K3 R2.
