Things will prove far more interesting once organizations to understand that full implications of a shared hosted environment. For now a true private cloud is the only way to go. IBM is offering private cloud that includes physically separated hardware and VM's.  They are actually islolating the data centers from one another. As for Gmail it's still in it's infancy.

That's a trend and it will hurt MS in a long run if colleges,
businesses,
and others continue to exodus to Gmail. I know UOP (University of
Phoenix)
switched to Gmail last year.
