Subject: [sdw2003] migration to gmail from Exchange

We are migrating about 2000 students from Exchange to Gmail and I need
some
guidance / assistance. We will stil be using Exchange for staff /
faculty.

We were told that we should make Exchange non-authoritative for our
domain.
If the system can't find bob.smith at mydomain.com within Exchange send
this
email to another server. This was to be accomplished by going into the
Default SMTP Virtual Server properties and, Messages tab and place the
Gmail
server in the "Forward all mail with unresolved recipients to host:".
According to MS, you are supposed to enclose the server name or IP in
square
brackets [] . When I use the brackets I get an error "The server name
is
invalid"
Ideas?
