[sdw2003] How would you go about this?

Yeah, I'll need it. How does a company get along for so long hanging by
a (tech) thread like this? I mean, a Windows XP box in a corner doing a
critical function that hardly anyone knows about!? Luckily, they have
the foresight to go virtual, get good storage, do new cabling,
etc...seems like all the right things are happening to bring this place
up to speed (and beyond!!) and then something like this pops out of the
woodwork. Well, that's our job, I guess. Expose these things, make them
more reliable, and then find a better way to do it in the future. Sounds
like the IT siren song...
