[sdw2003] How would you go about this?

Make a good backup first obviously.

1. Install systemboard drivers for the new  machine and move the drive  
to the new box. Drivers for other hardware will have to installed as  
needed.

2. Clonezilla the machine and attempt restore to the new machine. This  
is safer but more likely to fail.

These are just 2 ideas that have worked for me in the past. Symantec  
has a product that will restore to another box. Can't remember what  
it's called right now.
