I have had this problem for over a month -- and as soon as I sent this email
it seems like it cleared up -- this is just too weird.

I need some suggestions on how to troubleshoot a problem I have with
Outlook.

OS - XP
Office 2003
Running AVG Free for virus protection
DSL with 2Wire Modem


Problem(s):
1)  Outlook will not send email until I close Outlook and reopening Outlook.

2)  Outlook indicates it is sending messages when there is NOTHING in my OUT
box. My thought is that my system is attempting to send out spam.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled Office 2003 but the problem persists.

This leads me to believe the problem is in my registry.

Any suggestions are appreciated.
