A memory issue is much less likely than a driver or maybe USB relate
dissue.  And I have no parts to try swapping things out... this is an
old "leftover" that I'm trying to repurpose for some project that's
vital enough to have me running around, but not vital enough to spend
any money on.  C'est la vie...
