John,
What do you think of the units they are using at AIS currently. They
are like coat racks on wheels, with the flat-screen and keyboard/mouse
adjustable in height ? Dunno where to get `em, never looked.
My solution is to not have "carts" at all. I use single port KVM over
IP and my laptop. Then, I can sit wherever I want to and work the box.
Currently we are using Avocent KVM over IP units. Just single port
units. They don't see the quick flashes that fly by during POST, if you
are going to see it, it has to be on the screen fora few seconds. That
is the only "bad" part to our current solution. Our older units see the
quick stuff very nicely, but they are not manufactured anymore (no name
brand units).
