Kevin,

I'm recommending this to a small business I am doing work w/, but wanted to get your feedback on it first. It looks like a great solution, but can you tell me your real-world opinion and observations of the Dell disk-based backups?

I installed a new Dell server at a small client site the end of last year, and I had ordered Dell's new disk-based backup system with it. The backup device is a cartridge type diskdive that you just plug into the front of the machine (much like a tape cartridge). Anyway a 20 GB backup takes under 5 minutes (compresses the data also), so I set it up to do full backups everynight, and to override the oldest backup when the disk is full.
