[sdw2003] This Vista problem has been buggingpeopleforever!!Maybe now solved...

I would love to hear the stats on how many people "upgraded" back to XP.
Unfortunately, hardware vendors're coming out with a slew of new
hardware that doesn't have XP drivers at all. I've ran into 3 notebooks
(2 HP and 1 SONY) that were like that. At least SONY finally caved
(after 9months of consumer complaints) and produced XP drivers...

When you consider that the original name for Vista was Windows
Millennium Edition II, it starts to come together... :-D

(Not really, but that's my theory based on using Vista for almost a year
now)

I hear ya! How an "enterprise-ready" product could get out the door with
a file copy performance bug of this magnitude is beyond belief. From
what I heard, Msoft spent some $100M+ on testing Vista with beta/focus
groups and what-not, and they can't find a simple problem that every
user basically encountered on the first day out of the box?
